This is a collaborative project involving five artists, curated by Jonathan Peck
and including: Aramis Gutierrez, Nicolas Lobo, Daniel Newman and Matthew Schreiber. Each artist contributed ideas and work through several meetings, by using a committee we arrived at something resembling a unified project rather than a group show.
Excerpt from the press release:
“As an installation, No Room For You behaves like a gateway—something unexpected and unique that one might discover by chance and may find open only on rare occasions. Energy passes through the space in waves. Elements of the installation are static, but animate in their presence and expression due to the changing and pulsating effects of the environment. Multiple frequencies, perceived through ocular and auditory senses, give life to inanimate objects and leave a presence that remains long after the doors are locked and everyone has gone.”
