This is the view from the North, you can see the hotel intercontinental in the background

As you move to the North-East you see the main tower of the hotel and the building under construction behind the right side

Turning straight East it is possible to compare the construction site on the left with the exposed girders designed into the building on the right

From the South East, we see the Bayfront metro-mover station which is part of the local transportation system

Straight South allows a view of the mover tracks continuing north past another building under construction

South West there are two or more construction sites and a stand of Gumbo-Limbo trees as well as the corner of the amphitheater backdrop

Directly West reveals an unobstructed view of the rear walls of the amphitheater seating

North West gives us perspective on the program change from park to hotel made with a gently sloped hill
The video consists of eight still photos rotating around Isamu Noguchis’ Challenger Memorial, it is conceived as yet another remake of Robert Smithsons’ Hotel Palenque. The video is designed to be looped so that the narration and images can continue indefinitely. It was shown at the 60 second video festival curated by Bert Rodriguez and organized by Fugitive Projects. The stills and transcripts of the narration can be found below.
